I asked Ian Norbury to comment on this and he suggested that I refer you to his books "Carving Classic female Faces" & "Fundamentals of Figure Carving," he describes the proportions in much greater detail in those books than we ever could on the message board!

Thanks Bob. I have one of those books that I can reference. Also, I have taken some measurements of human heads and have determined a simple formula that I will use.
