I was wondering where Tom Wolfe found that bench knife that he shows in his books carving mice. It looks like a Warren bench knife, and like and interchangable blade, but I have not found one where the brass for the blade hold is molded like it is in his book. I think that Shawn Cipa has the same knife as well. Thank you John |

This is a question for Dave Stetson. I noticed in another comment to you, the carver had carved some Arizona Santas (from Issue #53 of Woodcarving Illustrated) and then sold them. Is that permissible? I carved several of those but made some adjustments for local appeal and was going to sell them until I saw the copyright on the pattern. So I didn't sell any but gave them to family as gifts. I live in a ski resort (Steamboat Springs, CO). Your pattern has Santa's hands in a perfect position for holding ski poles. I carved some ski poles, ski boots with bindings, and some little skis and attached them to the Arizona Santa. They turned out great. If it's okay to sell them I'll carve some more; otherwise, I'll just use them for gifts. |

For Steamboat Don.....I deleted the message you sent because it was a duplicate...all messages in this particular forum have to be validated before they are posted openly...I validated one of your messages, deleted the other, next time you will know why they don't show up right away..... until one of us validates it......thanks Hi Ho Sliver
