| | Re: WhiteCree Is Down Isn't this forum amazing? Isn't it wonderful that folks so widely separated geographically, folks who will probably never meet in person can become such good friends? Gradually, through many posts we begin to learn more about one another and the association expands into a friendship that transcends woodcarving. Whitecree and I discovered a mutual interest in sourdough cooking. We started email exchanges with recipes which soon expanded into other areas. For me, humor is the spice that makes life worth living. Whitecree certainly had that. Now, gone for a year but, most certainly, not forgotten |

| | Re: WhiteCree Is Down Great Spirit Prayer "Oh, Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the wind, Whose breath gives life to all the world. Hear me; I need your strength and wisdom. Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset. Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people. Help me to remain calm and strong in the face of all that comes towards me. Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock. Help me seek pure thoughts and act with the intention of helping others. Help me find compassion without empathy overwhelming me. I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy Myself. Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes. So when life fades, as the fading sunset, my spirit may come to you without shame. " |

| | Re: WhiteCree Is Down This was my first time reading this thread, I am ashamed I had not before.
PAul, your thoughts mirrored my own just now. I have read this whole thread and I whole heartedly agree. I am a part of a truly wonderful community. In the short time I have been here, i feel close to so many of you. WhiteCree was obviously a phenominal person and I am only sorry i did not get to know the man. It is wonderful that his memory has lived on here, through your memories and your projects. I'll bet you never taste sourdough without thinking of him and how wonderful that you are creating a totem that you and he had discussed. What a beautiful way to cherish someone. wow.

I'm glad you found and resurrected this thread. Don't know why, but I've been thinking about White Cree off and on since I read the thread a while back. I didn't know him and never even posted with him, but somehow mhe really touched me. |

| | Re: WhiteCree Is Down I think it's great to see Whitecree still around this forum. Like Ron I never met him but really looked forward to his posts. While he's no longer with us in this world I have no doubt that he'll always be with us here on this forum. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
