Default Sam Maloof died

Sam Maloof died at the age of 93. Those of us working with wood probably owe him a thank you for advancing our craft, and we should be inspired by a woodworker who worked so hard to promote woodworking. Mike

Sad news indeed. I greatly admired his work. His rockers were classics!

RIP Sam. Our thoughts and prayers go with you.

I worked for the Maloof family for several years...the man was an exceptional woodworker! Good long life, everyone should be so blessed!

Interesting video featuring Sam talking about his life, his first wife, and the groundbreaking of a new arts center on the occasion of his 90th birthday. This over at FineWoodworking.com.
