Default Sam Heitz

Sam Heitz of Cherokee Kansas, left this world Friday, May 27, 2011, at his residence.

Sam was a long time member of the Tri-State Woodcarvers of Joplin, MO. Sam along with other members of the guild were my mentors and inspiration to become a woodcarver. Sam and Coco often spoke of their times with fellow carvers at the War Eagle seminars, Wichita Carving Show, Burke seminars. Please keep Coco, their children and grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Methodist Church of Cherokee. Private family burial will take place at a later date at the Cherokee City Cemetery. Friends may leave condolences online at Brenner Mortuary : Pittsburg, Kansas (KS). Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
