Default Remembering "Latoya"

I know to some this may seem inappropiate but this girl for 17 years has been the apple of our eyes.with not having kids ,Latoya became our child, some may say she was just a dog,but to us she was our child. She passed 5/11/2009 ,just 3 days short of her 17th birthday, and she will forever be missed. Thanks for making our life what it was,and thanks to you all for reading this thread.

Hello Mark,

My sincere condolences to you and your wife at the loss of Latoya. She was obviously an integral part of your family. My and I are childless and fill the void with cats and birds so I understand exactly how you feel about her.

After all those years, I'm sure the bond between you must have been exceptional.

Mark, I'm sorry for your loss of Latoya. We have 2 grown children, but still our pets our are furry kids.I bet she had a great life with you and your wife.I think God has a special place in Heaven for them. Nothing can replace Latoya, but maybe after a little time passes, you will be blessed with another great friend.

Mark, please accept our condolances on the passing of your family member, Latoya! Dogs become part of your family and give as good as they recieve, in love, affection, respect and companionship. I share your grief and cherish my own memories of two "members" of our family that passed just as Latoya has. They will forever be in our hearts and memories.

Bob

Mark,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your pet. We had our first dog for 15 years before he died of cancer. We didn't think anything could replace him. His name was Hampton. His name was a coincidence as he was named after his father and not a motel.
We waited for 2 years and now we have a new one.She is 8 months old now. We are already really attached to her.Her name is Sheraton.
We are on the road so much that we named her after the motel. It is funny when people ask us her name and want to know the reason behind it. Again, I want to say that I'm very sorry to hear this. They become a part of the family so quick.

Let the healing begin,
Lance Brooks

Anyone that says "it's just a dog!" obviously doesn't know the first thing about them.....they are special, each one, they learn our moods, and are our greatest friend.....when was the last time your wife/husband jumped up and down with joy because you were out of his/her sight for 30 minutes going to the store LOL......No...its not just a dog, its a precious friend that we miss dearly!! My Condolences, .........I know the empty feeling!!

Mark...you have my deepest condolences. My St. Bernard, Gwyn, passed last summer. She was 9, ancient for a St., but she was always there for me. I still miss her.
