Default The passsing of George Janjecic - member of the Caricature Carvers
I just came across this on the web.

Valpo man liked to create and design

George Janjecic, 68, of Valparaiso, died March 7.
He was a member of the Caricature Carvers of America and the Illiana Garden Railroad Society.

I am not familiar with his work but I thought it would be nice to remember him here.

Hi Ken,
Thoughtful of you to pass this on. Very kind.
I read George was a wonderful husband, father, and carver.
A spiritual man as well.
He is remembered.

Ken: Always sad to lose one of our carvers. Like you I didn't recognize the name either. The CCA membership roster does not list him. Maybe the person who wrote the obit got a little mixed up. CCA membership is by invitation only. Haven't thought of Valpo in years. I lived and worked there a short time in 59.
