Default Passing of Kay Wannamaker

I received word last night that Kay passed away Sunday evening from a massive heart attack or stroke. Kay was the wife of the late, great Joe Wannamaker and was very involved with the carving world. She was currently serving on the board of the Affiliated Woodcarvers which puts on the International Woodcarvers Congress in Iowa every year. She will surely be missed by all of us that knew and loved her.

Sorry to hear of Kay's passing. I did not know her well, but I use a variation of Joe's Christmas Goose when I teach beginning project. I put a stocking cap on it. Students end up with a finished project and use quite a wide variety of tools including using the gouge upside down to round over the edges.

Rick:
Thanks so much for the info, Both Joe and Kay were dear friends, Joe was my starting force behind me starting to Woodcarve. Got a chance to see Kay last year at Dayton, the first time in about 13 years, we had a good old time, she will be missed.
