wow
I am so saddened by this. My first reaction was that it could not be the same Chuck Bolton. My heart goes out to his loved ones. Chuck was a really neat guy. Funny thing is I was looking at his ornie I got from him last year just this morning and was wondering why I had not heard him on the forum lately. Such an up beat and positive member. Always there with something encouraging to say. This is very sad and he will most definitely be missed.

Sending my condolances. I will think of Chuck every year when I bring out the ornaments he carved for the exchange.

Condolences to Chuck's family. I too will think of him every Christmas when I hang his ornament on the tree.

Thanks so much for letting us know. My first reaction, too, was "it can't be our Chuck." So sad...so young. Chuck has been a carving friend of mine for about 10 years. We first met when we carved together at the Knot Hole in Pleasant Hill. He shared a table with me the first time I participated in the Kansas City show--and has had the table next to me in the years since then. Chuck was a zany, sincere, likeable, helpful guy--always quick to help someone. He was a frequent participant here and though I missed seeing him posting here, I regret that I didn't follow up to check on him. Sad.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Chucks family. I just couldn't believe it was our Chuck. I too will think fondly of him as I hang his ornament on my tree.
