Default Ol Thomp (Thomas Perrin)

I recieved a call this morning, from his daughter and she said he had passed away last night. She said they were going through some of his stuff and came upon my number. I told her that i had bought a couple of knives from him and that he was a great guy and a wonderful carving friend. She said they had lots of carving's and storys sent to Ol Thomp but no names. I told her that Tom H. was the person to get a hold of, she said they had a phone message in to him. I know he surely will be missed by all of us and many more people he touched during his life and hes now at peace in the big Carving studio in the sky!

That is sad news. I was lucky enough to get one of his carvings in the miniature exchange and also won one of his knives. It is a great loss to the many carvers including myself that he unselfishly helped
My prayers and condolences to the family

Another Old Timer gone. Bet he's up there with all the others carving away, free of pain and worry. Rest in peace old friend.

My condolences to his family. Tom was a good fella and contributed quite a bit here on the forum.

I have been at the Woodworking show all day demonstrating whittling, so I missed the call about Ol' Thomps passing. I think I last talked to him on Friday afternoon. I'll miss him! We'll all miss him! Our last conversation included Thomas' plans to carve a few dogs. Thomas was always planning his next carving. But recently he just wasn't up to the task. His carving strength might have left him, but not his wit and humor. A friend will be missed. My condolences to his wife, children, and grandchildren.
