My Wife & Best Friend

Dougie, my heart hurts for you also. My wife is battling cancer and as I write this, she is slowly rejoining the real world after her chemo treatment last tuesday. I think a little of me dies each day as I watch her fighting to live. A friend had to watch her mother succumb to the disease and she and I spent a lot of time talking about death and dying and where God is in all of this. I told her repeatedly that God was holding her heart in the palm of His hand and my friend's strength thru all of that allowed me to be a little stronger...I think we propped each other up and I was inspired to make a carving for her.



Know that God is holding your heart gently in the palm of His hand also...

Words can't express my my feelings for your sorrow.. I lost my husband after 53 years .. It was Jan. 18, 2005. He was my best friend also.. With God's help and Grace we make it through.. You will see her again and that life will be without pain and suffering.. all tears will be wiped away. How wonderful that will be.. Keep that in your heart and mind and God will honor your faith..
