Hi everyone sitting here with tears running down my cheeks. Just got back from loosing my best friend. I just got back from the Vet, Midnight has been ailing for the past few weeks he had lost his appetite and his breathing was really labored. I knew he was on his last legs he was 11 years old. A pure bread black labrador retriever who had given my family and I many years of love and fun. I actually brought him for my grandson when he was seven but as Brandon grew I inherited the dog. We were all there with him when he went. He didnt suffer it was quick and peaceful but never the less very tramatic. Just needed to vent dont have a lot of friends so I thought I would share my loss with my family on this message board. I know I will heal but right now I am a mess. Here is a picture I took of Midnight just an hour before he was put down. Thanks for looking god bless you all. Colin

Hello Colin! I feel your pain, we lost our 11 year old Golden Retriever (Tal) last year. Dogs are so special, and a big part of or families! They love unconditionally, and steal our hearts! I hope and pray that God let's them go to heaven, I can't think of not seeing them again some day! GaryMc

Colin, you have my sympathy, my friend, I know exactly what Midnight meant to you. Midnight was a beautiful puppy. God will prepare everything for our perfect happiness in heaven, and if it takes my dog being there, I believe he'll be there. Billy Graham John

It's so very tough because we love them so much! And when someone feels the way you do, it's a sure sign the dog had a good life, one of the lucky ones! And I can tell you, your pup knew that.

Colin, You have my deepest sympathy. I have lost some of my dog friends during my life and I know how tough that can be. I have my daughters 13 year old Golden Retriever, Jake, and I only hope he has a lot of time left because he is truly a part of the family. jim |

Colin, I am so sorry for your loss. We've had to deal with the loss of several dogs over the years. Each on being part of the family & having his own special personality. It's never gets easier, especially when they've been with you for so long. May God comfort you. DickB |
