Dad's are special .. I know mine was .. and to lose them is heartbreaking .. especially this close to the holidays ..

It is always hard to lose a parent, and as others said especially at this time of year. You and your dad are in my prayers. Carve something special as a memorial to your dad and the special bond you shared in making chips. i am sure it will help you to grieve and honor his memory.

God Bless you in your time of loss. My Dad passed in 2000. The grief does lessen, but you will never stop missing him. More and more I feel that the Good Man my father was is trying to surface in me. From what I can see the Good Man that was your Dad is already showing up in you! Remember the Christ of Christmas and he will always be there for you.

When we lose a parent a part of us goes with them. Nothing we can say will lessen the sorrow that you now feel. All I can say is that life never stops it only changes, and we learn to cope with the feelings. But your father gave you a great many gifts. Those gifts will always be with you.
