| | Re: Good Man Gone:( My condolances on the loss of your father! It is good to celebrate the life of those we love when they pass, it sounds like you and he shared many good things together. He will be carving in a better place now, with wood that never splits, tools that are forever sharp and on projects that always turn out perfectly!

| | Re: Good Man Gone:( Hi Gergie,
I still have the chills from reading this. Your pain can be felt right through the computer.
I'm so sorry to hear this news, but think how lucky you were to have been so close to your father. Having a bond like that is priceless.
My prayers are with you,

It is always hard to lose a parent, and as others said especially at this time of year. You and your dad are in my prayers. Carve something special as a memorial to your dad and the special bond you shared in making chips. i am sure it will help you to grieve and honor his memory.
My sincerest condolences.

| | Re: Good Man Gone:( God Bless you in your time of loss. My Dad passed in 2000. The grief does lessen, but you will never stop missing him. More and more I feel that the Good Man my father was is trying to surface in me. From what I can see the Good Man that was your Dad is already showing up in you! Remember the Christ of Christmas and he will always be there for you.
Thinking of you and your family.
Don

| | Re: Good Man Gone:( When we lose a parent a part of us goes with them. Nothing we can say will lessen the sorrow that you now feel. All I can say is that life never stops it only changes, and we learn to cope with the feelings. But your father gave you a great many gifts. Those gifts will always be with you. When you seek him he will be there, he will give you a warmth in your heart, and you will know he is there.
My best to you and your family.

So sorry for your loss and it is always sad when someone who influences out lives so much is taken from us. Hope you can reflect on the good times you had together and that the skills he taught you can be in turn passed on to future generations. That way he lives on forever.
