Default George Reinfried - NEWR Organizer

I've not posted here in quite a long time due to work being very busy and having set aside carving for the better part of the last year, however, I found out this morning the George Reinfried passed away. George with his wife Ann was the driving force for the annual Northeast Woodcarvers Roundup in Honesdale PA. He was a wonderful warm man who welcomed me to my first roundup 5 years ago and encouraged me to dive in and have fun making the chips fly. I know he will be greatly missed by his wife Ann, his family, and his extended NEWR family. Due to other life conflicts I wasn't able to make it to NEWR this last year, but for any here who have been or may go in the future - we have George to thank.

Sorry to hear that George passed away. I attended the 2007 NEWR - a long drive for someone from Calif., but it was a great event!

It is truly sad to hear of these venerable carvers passing, but it's also important to remember all they have accomplished and contributed.....as with all my friends and aquaintences who have passed, " I wish you Godspeed", George. My condolences to all his friends and family.
