I am sorry to say I have not heard of Art McKellips...but looking at his site I sure wish I would have! I have a bit of cherokee blood and would have loved to talk to him about that and his carving....thanks for the post Rick! And my condolences to his family....the carving world lost an artist that day!

Art was one of my heroes, He was a great carver when I started. I loved to see his work I saw him at westernArt shows 30
years ago and I spent awhile to watch and visit every chance I could.
