Default Yet another new member!

Hi, I started carving last fall and really enjoy it. I live in Northcentral Arkansas and like hiking, horseback riding, and in general the great out doors. My husband and I share a lot of the same interests and carving is our newest love. It makes the world peaceful and relaxed for us.

Welcome.....The Mountain Home Woodcarving show is coming up in May. You might want to check it out as a number of the best carvers in the U.S. will be there. Also, its a great place to pick up supplies from the vendors who attend.

Lynn, I live in Mountain Home and have gone to the carving show the last few years. It is a great place and that is where I met Jack Ryan! He gave lessons to my husband and I. It is such a great hobby, craft, art form. We love it!

I'm beginning to wish I owned stock in bandaides. I do have a glove and thumb guard, but I forget to use them. Dah! I pick something up and think, I'll just fix this little part and the next thing you know it's an hour later and ouch! Where in the heck is that glove!

Greetings and Salutations Butterfingers! Remember! Safety first. The OSHA God of woodcarvers requires gloves and thumbguards prior to picking up any knives!
