Smile Wow Great group

I stumbled on to this site and it is Fantastic. I have played around with carving for a while but just got really interested in carving. I was looking to carve a ball in a box and chain. So I googled it and found this place. I have been working on a cowboy bust but got stuck on the eyes spent yesterday looking through the site and you guys a great. Lots of help

Hello Mike!
Welcome! Like you I am just starting out and have already found this forum indespensible and a wealth of knowledge. Gene Messer (whittler0507's Channel - YouTube) and Arlean (carverswoodshop's Channel - YouTube ) both share their expertise, step by step and easy to follow videos on you tube. I am sure one or both of them have posted a video on the eyes.
I am not the most patient person in the world and heeded some advice earlier ... if you get stuck on one thing, go grab a twig, branch or another block and start on something entirely different - then come back to what you were stuck on. Its good to have more than one project in progress.
Keep it simple, sharp and clean!
