Question wooden dutch man

I am new to this board and would like to say hello to all. I recently aquired a carved wooden man who is about 10 inches tall he looks dutch he is carved of wood except he has rope arms, he also has fussy while hair and a red leather hat with a white cross in the center. He has a flowered cloth vest on and a leather belt. Large nose and sort of looks like gepetto on pinnocchio.. He has on the bottom of his shoe is a signiture that says C. Casagrande. Does anyone know anything about the artist or the character,? he intriqes me and I would appreciate it if anyone could please help me...
