Default Woodcarver's Garage Sale - HOUSTON

My father was a woodcarver - now passed. There are lots of pieces of hardwood in his shop, plus an antique wood lathe, antique band saw, 1950's Craftsman table saw and other tools. There were stacks of magazines and perhaps some of those left, but because of mildew, most were thrown out.

If you have easy access to Houston area, you might want to make an appointment to come look or come on the day of the garage sale (Memorial Day weekend Saturday).

Please call me for details
(832)444-0192.

Thanks,
Rod Neumann

It is a sad day when a relative dies, and moreso because he was a fellow woodworker.

Have you considered following in your dad's footsteps, and putting those tools to use, learning to carve, yourself?

Thanks for the thought. At 55, I may be too young to start doing that . Among the things is a set of English carving tools I gave him in the late 70s. I don't know why, but they look like he barely used them. Maybe I'll just keep them for someday when I have the patience to learn, instead of selling them. But I don't have room for all the machines, so they will have to go. I guess I won't be seeing you at the garage sale as BC is a bit of a trek.
