Default wood carving classes

Hello everyone! I'm new to wood carving and was wondering if there is somewhere I can take some classes on it. I live in New Brunswick Canada and I am very interested in learning this hobby! If anyone knows any info please let me know, thanks!

G'day Doug, welcome to the forum. If you look over to your left you will see a section for woodcarving clubs listed. If you find nothing there I'm sure someone will advise you in due course. Have fun. Joe.

Also on the left is a link to Calendar of Events. Often woodcarving classes are given as part of a Woodcarvers Rendezvous or similar event.

Hi Doug
Welcome from the other side of the Rocks. I started by going to craft & home shows and asking carvers where, when and how they learned. That led directly to a weekend workshop, in a class of 8, led by a full-time professional carver with a great reputation. Very good instructor, too. Bought a bunch of Pfeil tools, strop etc and let them sit in a box for 5 years, until 3 winters ago.
