Default whittling apprentice

hi guys,
Thought about whittling off and on, but never got into it and now that the years have past by, I thought what the heck. may turn into a regular passion of mine, or just a passing thing (again). Either way, ain't gonna kill me to try right!
I bought WCI's special issue on whittling on a whim and decided to give it a go.
I went out and bought a flexcut kn12 at kms tools to start with as my interest lies in woodspirits (of course) and may even try those small caricatures if I feel brave.
Really appreciate this website being here and the input from what seem to be really good folk.
all the best from British Columbia

TB

Welcome to the forum, if you are not careful it will turn into an obsession. Show us some pics when you finish something.

That mag has lots of nice beginner and medium carvings to do. I saw it yesterday, but, I have almost all the carving magazines so most of those I have already, I try to take one magazine at random and carve something from the issue. Breaks up carving santa's and hillbillies. Enjoy
