Default Well, I did it.

Hi all, My wife said I was a good boy, so I ordered my Christmas present early. Called "Little Shavers" and ordered the "Beginner's Carving Set", and then called "Heinecke" and ordered some wood.

Now what?

Just kidding. We will see what these hands and mind can come up with. I am new to all of this, so I have been looking around the Message Board. This should definitely be an interesting journey.

Todd

A good place to start would be to go to the forum Wood Carving Tutorials - Woodcarving Illustrated Message Board and try some of the ones shown there.

Thank you all for the warm welcome, I have checked out the tutorials and I have watched a few of Gene's videos, so I will probably start with one of his projects. I did buy a number of sticks, so I should be good to try a number of his. I also bought some boards to try relief carving.
And yes this can be addictive and I have not even started yet.
