Default Re: Welcome new members

Thanks. I just now registered. I started in August when a friend brought me a cypress knee and I wanted to try. Now I don't sleep! (Up all night carving).

I went to a buddy's new house and he has some large oak stumps and a nice sheet of bark. I wanted to do something with the bark (I plan on doing large spirits in the oak stumps). Will I be wasting time on the bark? It is 20" high by 9" width. Maybe half to inch think.

Thanks and will be learning as much as I can. I need classes!
