Default Want to learn to carve

Hello,
I am new to carving, I have wanted to try it most of my life and am now ready to start! I live in Southern Maryland and looking for a local club. I sent an email off from the club link hopefully I will get a reply and will find some nice people willing to help out a beginner which I sure I will...
I wanted to drop a note and introduce myself and say HI, my name is Tim I hope to be talking or typing to many of you soon.

Thanks,

Welcome aboard Tim. I took the plunge about three months ago and I am so happy I did. Although I am not very good at it yet, I am having a great time learning.

Welcome, Tim:
What would you like to learn to carve? As others have said we have a whole bunch of really good carvers, woodburners and just down right nice folks.
Questions just ask lots of knowledge on this site.
