Default tree in a tree???

Hi, I just joined this site to hopefully find anyone that knows what I am talking about. We had a massive oak fall in our yard and a friend who is an arborist told us the massive burl was quite valuable then he got extremely excited when he saw a tree that was living within this tree.......he said it was called something like asperitis or something like that, can't recall the exact term ........and said we have a huge 10-12k piece of wood! I started googling and can find nothing on this. Today a friend of a friend who was a logger in Canada saw it and said the exact same thing......
so now what do we do??? any info on the exact term of what this is would be greatly appreciated and any direction we could go for selling it too would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Lizbeth

Where are you are you in Canada. I have seen some pretty big burls but none that are a tree within a tree. Burls can be really valuable depending how burled they are. It is all finding a customer for your product. Dont even know where you would start except contact someone that deals in exotic woods. There are plenty of them on the web. Sorry couldnt help anymore than that.

Wood turners are always looking for large burls. You might post a classified on The Woodturning Forum - Woodturner's Resource - Index
or perhaps here:
