Feb, ya gotta explore a little bit! when you first open the Woodcarving Illustrated Message Board, you will see a few columns. The first one is "Forums", the next, to the right is "Latest P osts" and a couple others.

Simply scroll down on this page to see the other FORUMS. Click on the Forum name to open that forum. That will open a list of all the latest posts. You can now click on and open any of these listed posts.

You can enter a new post just like you do from the "New Members" forum. Or you can respond to other posts by clicking on the REPLY button below each post.

Or you can click on the underlined latest post and go directly to that one.

There may be some pictures in these posts, or links to others' sites. Click on the thumbnail pictures to see full sized ones or the links to go to the other sites.

Now, look on the left side of the screen and scroll down to "Carving community". Message board will bring you back to the opening age, Carvers Galleries will bring you to a page where other carevers have opened picture albums. You can look at these. Ther eis also a link to Free Carving Patrterns from WCI, and event calendar and some other great sites. Click and go to any of these.

Does this help? Hope so!

Al

A Forum is a group of topics related to a particular subject. They are here to help organize discussions. Examples are:
"Welcome Members"
"Off Topic"
"Publisher Feedback"
"Author Qu estions"
"Beginner"
etc.

Threads are a group of individual posts related to a specific question, comment, idea, etc..... Thread titles need to be descriptive to allow others to know what the subject is about. Having a good title also helps with searching for information.

In the top section of this page is the following links:

"User CP" "FAQ Members" "List" "Calendar" " New P osts" "Search" "Quick Links" "Log Out"

If you click on "Search", you can type in a subject that you are looking for. In this case "Patrick eye tutorial" will provide a list of threads that have those three words in it. Here's a link to what you are looking for >>>>> A different approach to eyes

As Patrick explained, keep trying and you'll get the hang of it.
