Default Is there room for one more?

Hello all! I've been lurking for about a month, looking at pictures, drooling over the talent that abides here.

I'm very new to carving. I've dabbled for about five months. The only thing I have is a dremel with the hand piece. I also have a turbo carver system. I've never held a carving knife. I do have alot of questions on what to purchase in the knife dept.

I've worked on walking sticks I find in our woods. Carved designs in real eggs, and I have a bag of 100 wooden chicken eggs I've either painted on or carved on.

I have also purchased the CD from woodpatterns.com ( I think I got that right). I'd like to get better at relief carving.

I love to draw, and have drawn many patterns for myself to work with eventually. Most are patterns to go on walking sticks and stumps.

So.. is there room for one more newbie?

Hello its me again, with a question on the forum. When I was lurking, the first post or topic post was on top, now after I joined its either on the last page or the bottom. How do I get it to come back to the top and on the first page like it was when I was lurking? *confused here*

Welcome aboard there is always room for more. The topic you were looking at would be under one of the topics like general carving or releif and so on. Just open that catagory and look inside fopr the topic you want. That is if I get what you were meaning. Ron

There is always room for one more! That is like asking if you are allowed to carve....! Welcome aboard and also to the most enjoyable hobby/passion you will ever find. Power carve, edge tool or any combination of those, are welcome. We'll be bugging you for pictures of your efforts before you know it.

Have fun and happy carving.

Bob

Marci,
Hi! Welcome! I always click "new posts" at the top of the page and all the new posts from all the categories pop up. It's easy to keep up that way!

Marci,
It has to do with your "User CP" settings. If you want, I can change it for you easier than I can explain it.

--Plenty of room! We've got 2168 members (right now) and at any given time have around 50 people on-line..... Most of the time only 15% of those are Members. YES, we have room for you - and more.

Welcome. Ask questions, give advice, show some pics, anything related to carving (and then some!) is appreciated here.
