Default stepping in to say "Hello"

Just want to say hello and congratulate you on a great site. The amount of talent in here is impressive.

I spend most of my time in the Steel Mill but my hobbies are Game Calls, turning and carving. I think my carvings are coming along slowly but I have fun with them.

I stumbled into this site a couple of weeks ago and decided it was time to jump in.

Steve

Hello Steve, let me be the first to welcome you to this wonderful carving and woodburning site. I have a lot of fun here, learn to be a better carver and enjoy the friendship of my fellow carvers and woodburners. I hope you enjoy as much as I have.
Kathy

Welcome to the forum. There is a good group of people here willing to help a carver out. New people are joining every day. This is a fun spot to spend time each day.

For "slow improvement", your carvings are great! You are going to be a definite asset to the forum!

Thanks,

I am really fond of the really hard woods..osage, ebony, pink ivory, blackwood, snakewood etc. I can get sharper detail and it really slows me way down so I'm not as liable to take too big of a bite.

With all these neat looking Santas I'm looking at on here I may just have to give one a shot...

Steve
