Default a stash of andy anderson carvings

Awhile back I bought a collection of ANDY carvings which had been in storage for over 50 years. There are seven icluding the hound dog. At the time I was familiar with Gene Zesch's work and did not really know about Andy. Since then I bought a copy of his book on woodcarving and read all about him. These carvings were owned by a famous person who collected a lot of western memorabilia. Each is very different and they all have the bowlegged look that made him famous. I intend to sell them privately and am posting this info just to get it out there for someone who may have been looking for a long time to garner a collection which is near impossible to do at this point in time. Any feedback is welcome Bob Kren

Hi Wanda, These carvings are really something up close as they are incredibly funny. They are all a little different and the expression on the shooter is very real with thesquinting and all. They have quite a history as well. At some point I hope to post some of the original 1940' photos that were taken by the original owner. Bob

I'd say you've got the start of a nice collection. Cherish them.
