Default Some folks wanted to see pictures so..

I posted some last night in the carving gallery. They are under wood spirits I think. Trying to get familiar with this format, so please bear with me...Knothole

Hi knothole and welcome

I looked in on your woodspirits and you are very accomplished with those faces! I think I remember that you use pine knots. I didn't realize that you could get that tiny detail in pine knots. You've done a really fine job. What kind of finish did you use?

Hello Thor, I`m quite new at this and the person that taught me told me to use brown shoe polish so that is what I have used on all my wall hangings..Thanks..Knothole

Hi Knothole! Welcome, we already have a couple of "Knotheads" but you are the first knothole! lol ....I must have missed the "under woodspirits" part when I first read your post, I just saw them, good job!

Checked out your carvings knothole - well done! I tried to bring them up larger but my computer wouldn't let me...perhaps its something I'm doing. I'm always interested in seeing other carvers woodspirits. It helps give me ideas for my own. Thanks for posting your pics.

Thank for the kind words folks I do appreciate them.I`m currently working on an intresting piece, A fellow from N.C. sent me a piece of Lighter wood or Old piece of pine with a Civil war bullet in it and I`m putting a spirit face on it. He thought it would be kind of like the soldier coming home after the war...Knothole
