Default Sayin' Hey!

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I mainly participate on a sister forum (SS) but have been carving for a couple of years now. I'm self-taught but still have all my fingers and toes. I'm impressed with the number and skill of some of the forum members and anticipate learning much.

Brian in Northern Vermont (isn't that an oxymoron?)

p.s. attached a photo of a recent project. Attempted a David Western pattern and submitted it in a juried exhibit locally and came away with a ribbon. When looking at some of the other submissions I was pretty sure I was out-classed - I was, really. But sometimes you just catch a judge at a soft moment, I guess. Anyway, it was very encouraging to get validation from someone other than my wife, IYKWIM.

Brian,
Welcome to the group, glad to have you along. As for your carving, I'd say its a lot better than an attempt. Good Job.

Welcome to the board, Brian. I like your spoon carving. The ribbon was well deserved. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your other work.
