Thumbs up Retired Railroad Engineer/Now full time Carver

Hi, I'm new to this board and wanted to say hello. After 40 years on the railroad, sitting in the Engineers seat, I find myself sitting in my carving studio surrounded by my tools and lots of wood. I've been carving for ten years, belong to two local clubs and carve every day. I'll carve most anything I can get my hands on. My wife is still adjusting to the increase of wood chips and the trail my two Pugs leave thru the house. She retains her right of first refusal and really likes me when I sell.
Thats Me. What about you?
Pracuss

Welcome to the Board Pracuss. You will find a host of new friends here plus the answers to all those haunting questions. My cousin is a retired BNSF engineer in NM and I provided him with a lot of carving tools but alas, the desire wasn't there. Have fun...carve

I guess I am way before your times, I was a Depot Agent/Telegraph operator for the Great Northern in North Dakota and Minnesota. That was before it became the Burlington Northern..... Before that I was with the Chicago NorthWestern in Nebraska and Iowa.... Kind of interesting to see railroad people carving. Welcome.....
