Howdy Chip! I well remember playing with limber jacks, though we called them something different.
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks Bob,
I don’t know who is having the most fun, grandkids or me.

Turns out our carving project is becoming more of a work in progress so I open a WIP Our limberjacks
'Our limberjacks' thread.

Say Bob, what did you call your limberjacks?

Chip

Actually Chip (embarassed glow on face) I'm trying to remember. My Grandaddy used to make them. I believe he called them paddle dancers or something like that. He would cross his legs and hold the paddle between them while he tapped on the board to make the man do a buck dance. You really wouldn't want to call them lap dancers, I guess. I think he called them paddle dancers. You used to find men, women, mules and other animals cut out for the boards. I have a paddle with chickens all around the round rim. It has a string attached so that, as you "swirl" the weighted string in circles beneath the board, it makes the chickens peck corn all around the board.
