Default Re: Question for Squbrigg

My pleasure Bill, I love to talk about ships and the sea. My poor wife must believe me nuts, for every room has something nautical, and our living room is more like a captains cabin than a living room. Models, paintings and photographs everywhere! My daughters aren't immune either, they learned as children to respond to a bosuns pipe when out playing....much more effective than calling.

If you travel during the summer, come down this way. We have the display up and running again this summer, and the wharf is a perfect setting. Getting lots of visitors again this year, am getting to meet quite a few new carvers too. Omaha isn't really that far, is it?

Always happy to help you out with any questions that you might have, Here's a web site you might enjoy www.julianstockwin.com another old sailor runs it.

All the best,

Bob

Good job, could feel your enthusiasm. Been wondering about that stuff when it comes up. The ship/boat thing came up not long ago, and here in Arizona, let's just say we needed your expertise. My brother and sister in law cruised the Maritimes last year, and loved it! It is now on the "to do" list sometime in the future. Just have to make sure my wife doesn't volunteer me for the "keel haul" demonstration.
Ashby, nice work!

Hi All,

For those that may have an interest...

Who----------1st base
What---------2nd base
I Don't Know--3rd base
I Don't Care--shortstop
Tomorrow------Pitcher
Today---------Catcher
Why----------left field
Because---Center field

I couldn't find any mention of right field even after checking several web sights perporting to have the complete text of the classic Abbott & Costello routine!!
