Koolred,
I am so glad to see you posting your fine carvings here.
Since you mentioned that Patience is part of a triptic, could you post pictures of the other 2 carvings? I would love to see what you did with their designs.
Your pieces are really inspiring.

Yes I already posted the second part at:

It just takes time to do the photos, get all the pics ready, etc. in order to post them. The 3rd carving of the triptic will soon be upload. Thanks for your interest.

You're welcome. Yes Simplyme, this was my first carving. I on top of it had never learned this craft before. I had tried myself on making 3 frames for my oil paintings. But really nothing dramatic. The carving of the tree yes is my absolute first carving and I actually helped myself by watching some videos on Youtube lol. That's how I started. Then when I was already working on my 4rth carving I went to a course to learn the technique more properly.

My background.. Well since I lived in France I discovered that I had developed a liking toward Arts. But instead I worked in other fields and in the end I became a graphic designer. It was not what I really want to do but on the other side it forced me to learn discipline, it made stronger my sense of aesthetic which was already natural in me for being a nature lover etc.

This was somewhat useful when I now imagine any new project, the way I see it (although Woody Allen said that there is no place for improvisation in Arts I don't totally agree) is that in doing an artistic project like those ones, it needs a good preparation of the work and yet while working, leave a place for expression, because while carving you become interactive with your limbic brains and it feeds you with new ideas and observations, this in turn becomes creative, so I guess we should keep a place for improvisation on the spot, although within a disciplined frame of work.

Thanks for asking Where can I see your work?
