I am considering switching to power carving but know nothing about what tools are best. Could use some oppions.

dremels are good. Foredom and Wecheer as well.

If you get into it you will want more than just one tool, but to start out I think a multi-tasker would be your best bet. It has more to do with the burrs than the tool I recommend the flame shape in several sizes and the long tapered burr. For aggressive stock removal try extra coarse ball nose cylinder shape works like a gouge.
