Hey Gang, Mike and I had a long, gruelling weekend and this morning I was just not in the mood to start another day of hot, hard work. So, instead of settling down to get into this mornings work I decided to take an early morning walk through my garden ... mumbling, grumbling and even a little fuming along through the flower bed paths. Coming around one of my tucked in corner beds I was greeted by this peony! A small gift of beauty, simplisity, and perfection. A day that starts with such a glorious present as this just can't turn out bad so I'm off to the grind stone with a much improved attitude ... in fact An Attitude of Graditude! And as I won't have much time to spend with you today on the forum I thought that I would at least stop by and share this gift with you! No wonder the oriental cultures use the peony as a focal theme for their art ... doesn't that just beg to be carved! Susan |

That's a beauty, Susan, and not an ant in sight! When my children were litte they called peonies, Ant Flowers, because there were always ants on them....especially when they brought me in a bouquet! Thanks for sharing! Callynne

Sounds like my week-end too.....too much....time to rest now. With me it was two rose bushes that I bought last week, waiting to be planted. Flowers, Mother Natures perfect relaxer! Bob
