Default Onward and "upward"?

Hello All! I've been turning pens for several years now with some success. I've recently gravitated over into stick making, and it seems to really "crank my tractor"! I use a lot of antler for tops and tips, but the sticks still seemed to be too plain. I'm struggling to develop some carving skills to add uniqueness to my work. Also, found wood looks interesting. Hope to learn a lot from you guys! It seems weird, working on a stick and not having it spinning (ha).

Welcome to the group......I make scrimshaw inserts for my sticks and find it very rewarding...it is exciting to have a new product to work on and opens so much more room to work. I was the same way when I stopped working on smaller ivory pieces.....so, I can relate to you now...enjoy!
