Default One More New Guy

Good Day!

My name is Brian McInnis and I have recently joined this great message board. I live in Plano, TX and have been carving for about 2 years now. I started out with the intention of making walking sticks with woodspirits on them. I practiced making just the woodspirit and after about 100 woodguys, I have yet to carve a stick! Obviously I carve woodspirits but also like greenmen and anything celtic.

I love all the wisdom and friendliness on this board an look forward to learning and offering anything I may have absorbed along the way.

Thanks,

Brian Mac

Brian,

Really nice carvings--the Wood Spirits are great! You should be doing the walking sticks too--I have seen some here that combined the wood spirits with a Celtic flavor. I bet Bob (Squbrigg) can give you ideas on that!

Until the last few days, I didn't really want to carve a Wood Spirit--the work you guys are doing is starting to rub off on me. I guess I'm going to have to dig out a tutorial on one and give it a try.
