Default Old new carver

Hi, my name is Mike, and I have been carving for a little over a year now and have completed a couple of small Santa Claus from patterns in books. I am trying to carve the Santa head that was in WCI this fall and having fun fixing my mistakes. I guess I am still a copier rather than an original designer. I have been reading the forum for a few months getting familiar with the format and the folks. This is my first post and I appreciate all of the useful information from the real carvers out there, particularly the basswood sources and tool info.

Mike

old-one is what my kid's call me.
