Default Old And In The Way

Hi folks,
I'm just a beginner at carving with anything much more than an old timer pocket knife.
I've whittled at stuff forever.

From everything I've seen here so far this a NEAT board !
I look forward to getting to know some of y'all and learning how to get the stuff I see in wood out.
I figure you just remove everything that don't look like what you want ...

Great to have you along on the ride.

Nothing wrong with a pocket knife.
Remember that you can cut yourself just as deep with a pocket knife as you can with a $$$$ carving tool.

When it comes to letting stuff out of the wood I've noticed that quite often what turned out to be in the wood wasn't what I had expected.

Welcome aboard. I hope you have as much fun with your pocketknife as I do mine. Great hobby, and super folks aboard here to chat carving with.

Bob
