Hi Kathy I viewed your website and was quite impressed with your all around ability, especially your watercolors and kachina dolls. I collect Native American dolls -skookum, and interact with the Lakota people on the Pine Ridge rez. Your hubby's work sounds interesting as well. Keep up the great work.

Hi. I am yet another newbie to carving. Everything I carve seems to look like a dug out canoe. I am using yellow cedar, does that seem like a good wood to start with? I am from British Columbia and can get it fairly easily.

Hi, Harlan. I'm in southeast Iowa. I think there is a very small group of carvers here called Wapello County Carvers, but until I learn a little something, I'm too shy to just show up. Cold enough for you??? -Medic
