| | Newly Registered Member Hello everyone,
I just finished registering, so I thought I would jump in here to introduce myself before I look around. I am a member of the online writer's group "Absolutewrite," and since things are looking pretty familiar here, so far, I expect that I will soon feel right at home. |

| | Re: Newly Registered Member Hello David,
Welcome to the WCI board where evryone will make you feel at home.
I spent soem time in Punta Gorda and loved it there. There are some wonderful life sized carvings hanging in the main building at the wildlife center. I met one of the volunteers there and he showed me the sticks he makes for the visitor store. He turned me on to Brazilian Pepper and Melaleuca sticks. The Melaleuca is very hard but the sticks grow quite straight and holds detail well. I wish I were there to help "eradicate" them. (They're a pest down there.) |
