Default Newcomer

Hello to everybody,
my nickname is Brumar, I'm from Italy and I'd like to share with you my first wood sculpture. it's about 11" tall, the wood is basswood and is finished with oil.

Well if that's your first wood sculture, I'd be curious as to what you have been doing prior to this carving! Very well done. Welcome to the site.

Welcome Brumar. That is a very impressive "first" and lovely, too. The lines are so graceful and the movement is breathtaking. Thank you for sharing.

They have Basswood in Italy? Great work. Nice form. Nice finish. It's so good that I find it almost impossible to believe that it's your first. Looks like you've been carving for years.
