| | Newbie w/first post Been tinkering on & off with carving for quite a while & thought its time
to get serious. Winter is coming on soon & will be spending
a lot of time indoors so thought now is a good time to
see what I can accomplish with carving.
Looks like a very informative sight, think I will be able
to learn a lot. |

Kathy | Hi Kathy, Not sure yet, caricatures look very interesting
& fun. I'm sure no matter what I choose there will be lots
of fine help here.

willy | Willy, I would recommend you try what you are most interested in learning. Charicatures of which I have not tried, look really fun. All you have to do is look to your family and friends for inspiration. Just about any where there are people you find someone who would make an interesting charicature or situation.

Tom H | Hi Tom, Thank you for the warm welcome. I am located in
northeast Ohio, a small town called Creek, about 50
miles south of Cleveland.
Don't know of any carvers here but there is a club in an
adjacent town that I will probably join.

| | Re: Newbie w/first post Welcome, Willy! Been to A pple Creek many times when visiting that area. Favorite place is Lehman's Hardware up in Kidron. They have a pretty good supply of carving tools, and too much other stuff to buy. Can't afford to go there too often.....hehehehe.

| | Re: Newbie w/first post Hi Al ! Funny you should mention Lehman's in Kidron, I was just there this afternoon. Don't know how long since you were there last but they don't have much for carving anymore. Would be nice sometime if your coming this way to let me know & maybe we could meet there.
