Default newbie for sure

Hello to all, I have been using the dremel tool and carving on deer antlers. So far I enjoy doing this but really would like to start trying my hand at carving wood. I have a lot of types of wood available to me, but would like advice on begining carving. I take all info, advice, and suggestions. Be kind!! hahahha.. but hope to hear from you..

Welcome aboard. This is a great place to begin. What type of carving are you interested in doing relief, caracature,animal it's pretty wide open. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

Well right now what I have been doing is carving with the deer antlers, making small items...birds, horses, and 'feathers' . I use these and make jewelery. But this site has sparked my interest into working with wood. Now all I need to do is find some wood, and get after it. I also have a scroll saw, and lathe... I have made lots of wood ink pens.... and other things. My husband jokingly says I made a lot of sawdust. But it is a good hobby that we both enjoy. I will try my hand with the wood carving and dremel tools. Now got to figure out what to start with........hummmm. so many choices.... got any suggestions
