Default Newbie Checking-In

Hi All, what a terrific web site! I'm very new I have done zero carving to date. I have been working with gourds and have gained a little experience with pyrography. Besides gourding I paint in oil, acrylic, gouache and pastel. I also love to sculpt in clay and so the temptation to learn wood carving/sculpting.
Looking forward to learning a lot on this site.
Probably will spend most of my time in the 'Pyrography' forum for a while. There is so much to learn and so little time.
Mottles, AKA Kathy

Hi Colin & Ash, thank you both for the warm welcome. Colin I think it's you all who will be teaching me the most.
Ash, yes that is a paint brush and what's kept you from picking one up? lol
Well, thanks both and if I can be of help with the painting part--I don't profess to know it all but happy to help.

Hi Dave & rales: Thank you both also for the warm welcome and for looking at my site. It's truely a labor of love I think I'm going to have to create a 'Gourding Pyrography/woodburning' page.
Dave I live in Prescott Valley, AZ. we travel though Kingman often on our way visit family in California. As a matter of fact it's our breakfast stop!
rales I hope you will pick up that brush again too...
I plan to spend some time over the next days just looking at all art work and information on this site.

I posted my pyrography/dyed/painted gourd in the Pyrography forum this evening. Comments welcome

Colin wow I just visited your web site and your spirit work is outstanding and I enjoyed reading your bio. I love the way you save dead tree's by turning them into works of art.
