| | new to woodworking ![000[1]](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/000[1].gif) hi my name is lisa and im new to the woodworking world , which im looking forward to getting started in i have a woodburning kit i got a craft shop and i am loking for woodburning patterns so if anyone has any i can try , i ll give it 100 percent effort and then post and see what you all think of my first woodburning efforts and im thinking of trying woodcarving to but i have to get my carving kit . hope to hear from everyone and make new friends to .

Also Susan Irish, is a fantastic carver and woodburner and her patterns and instructions are top rate. Check out her website www.carvingpatterns.com

I use my woodburning tool for one thing - burning in the pupils on my carving. I hope you get to do more than I have as its quite an art. Soon you'll be picking up a carving tool as well. Welcome to the site.

You'll find good carvers and burners here and they'll be a great resource as you learn to burn. I'd recommend you suscribing to Woodcarving Illustrated--there's usually at least one great woodburning pattern in each issue. Susan Irish has some great patterns and is a regular contributor to WCI--and this board.
Let us know how you're doing with your woodburning process.
