Welcome Michael, I generate a lot fo sawdust as I mostly chainsaw carve & used to be asked constantly when doing an on site carving "Oh can I take this nice curly sawdust for my pet?" I had to warn people not to take & use the sawdust. Back then I was using regular petroleum based chain/bar oil which is highly carcinogenic & as of now I have been using Canola oil in all my saws for 2 1/2 years & no longer haul all the sawdust away & worry about disposal & clean up. When I am done a job I remove any pieces of wood & I just simply rake the sawdust around on the grass & a month later these spots are growing better than the rest! I compost a good majority by mixing with clean soil & use it for filling my back yard, the remainder I burn. Thanks, Robbin index |

Welcome to the forum, great bunch of people on here and lots of help if needed. As for saw dust I just inhale it all and then have my lungs pumped out once a month, keeps the area nice and clean. Cliff |

Michael, Welcome to the message board. Being such an organized person that I am, I planned ahead for the problem of saw dust and wood chips. I built my shop with 12 foot ceilings. There're down to 9 foot ceilings now. Tom H |
