Default New members - Local carving clubs

Hi Folks, Seems good advice to new carvers/new members to seek out local carving club/group. Might even be helpful for new carvers/new members to include their city/town in their first posting. That way members can welcome them and give them local carving group/club contacts. This is how I made contact with local carving group. TOM H

That's a great idea! (I've included it in my tag!) It is sometimes difficult to find a club when they have no web presence. I found BRC by attending a larger Northern Virginia Carvers' meeting and talked to a fellow.

Since I just finished putting up our first web page, here's the URL for a club in Manassas, Virginia! This is a small club, but the greatest fellows you'd ever meet!

As a side note, this site has a listing of many carving clubs.
